Kerry Blunt Obituary

Kerry Eugene Blunt, 51, of Avon, IL passed away at 9:35 a.m., Sunday, May 14, 2023 at his home. He was born March 21, 1972 in Galesburg, IL. He was raised by his grandparents; Gene and Beverly Blunt. He married Jennifer Havens on July 20, 2015 and she survives.

Kerry is survived by his wife; sons, Marcus, Raymond, Rusty and Maxwell all at home; sister, Maria Martinez of Louisville, KY; brother, Jesse (April) Martinez of Middle Grove, IL. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene and Beverly Blunt and mother, Kathy Martinez.

Kerry was an outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. His greatest love was spending time with his boys and family.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 553 130th Street, Avon, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to Kerry’s family to assist with funeral expenses. Wise Family Funeral Home-Avon is handling the arrangements.
