William Norris

William Norris, 58, of London Mills, Illinois, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, in his home. He was born August 2, 1967 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Jim and Rose (Wilson) Norris. He was raised and educated in New Berlin and Canton Illinois.

He married Christina Bickel on April 23, 2002 in Lewistown, Illinois and she survives.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife; children, Jacob Bickel of Canton, Rachelle Shores of Abingdon, McKenzy Wheeler of Abingdon; siblings, Betty Breese, Delbert Norris, Brenda Blundell, Linda Anderson, Chris Price, Barbara Slater, Harry Norris, Robert Norris; his favorite companions, Bear and Nixie. Several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Norris.

Bill worked for Lazer Logistics in Monmouth and drove a semi for many years. He enjoyed tinkering with automobiles and semis. He was a carpenter and liked to flip houses. He also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026 in the Avon Cemetery, Avon, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family and left in the care of the funeral home. Moore Memorial Home, Avon, is handling the arrangements.
