William Lee Bayne

William Lee Bayne, 83, of Roseville, Illinois, passed away at 3:05 p.m., on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Elms in Macomb, Illinois. He was born November 15, 1942, in Bushnell, Illinois, the son of Herman and Virgie (Taylor) Bayne. He was raised and educated in Roseville, graduating from Roseville High School.

Bill married Sherry Hayes and she preceded him in death.

He is survived by Marc Martz, who was like a son to him and many cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and son, BJ.

Bill worked for Briggs Manufacturing in Abingdon until his retirement. Prior to Briggs he worked for the Roseville School District as a janitor and as a laborer for Gambles in Monmouth.

Bill was a huge Harley Davidson enthusiast and avid collector of Harley memorabilia and motorcycles. He was also a flat track racer for many years. He loved old trains and train history. Classic Country Music was his favorite.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the funeral home. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Western Illinois Animal Rescue and left in the care of the funeral home. Moore Memorial Home, Roseville, is handling the arrangements.
