Ruth E. Tee, 82, of Oquawka, IL, died 6:55 P.M. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth.
She was born September 20, 1929, in Monmouth, the daughter of William Waugh and Laura Edith (Winebright) Tubbs. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, where she graduated from Monmouth High School.
Ruth married Harold Lee Roy Robbins on June 2, 1948. She married William Lewis Tee in May 1978 and he survives.
She cooked in various restaurants, including Club 41, and had worked at various occupations during her working years. She loved to be with people and cook. She enjoyed crocheting and playing cards.
She was a member of the Faith Bible Church in Oquawka.
Her family includes her husband, Bill Tee of Oquawka, two children, Sharon Kay Unterbrink of Monmouth and Richard (Kathy) Robbins of Monmouth, step-daughter, Clara (Bill) Gardner of Tucson, AZ, four grandchildren, Bryon (Kim) Robbins of Monmouth, Jason (Jenny) Robbins of Monmouth, Mike Unterbrink of Peoria and Thomas Crotts of Tucson, AZ, 10 great grandchildren and one sister, Mary Olson of Monmouth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, one daughter Cheryl Lynn and two grandsons, Marc Unterbrink and Jonathan Robbins.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 21, 2012 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Rev. Mark Baker of the Faith bible Church of Oquawka. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery, Kirkwood. Friends may call after noon on Sunday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where her family will be present from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.
