Robert "Rob" J. Miller, 49, of Atkinson, IL, formerly of Alexis, died 9:09 P.M. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Hammond Henry Hospital, Geneseo, IL.
He was born May 27 , 1963, at Aledo, IL, the son of Cecil and Ruby (Kick) Miller. He was raised and educated in Alexis and graduated from Alexis High School in 1981.
He married Karmell McCrery.
He was the plant manager at Gold Star F.S. in Atkinson. He had served on the Alexis-North Henderson Fire Department and the Alexis-North Henderson Ambulance Service. He enjoyed boating and traveling.
His family includes, two son, Terry Miller of Peoria and Mike (Emaly) Miller of Holly springs, North Carolina, one granddaughter, Kinlee Miller, his father, Cecil Miller of Alexis, his life mate, Meribeth Johnson of Atkinson, two sisters, Juanita (Dick) Holloway and Evelyn (Gary) Simkins both of Alexis, one brother, Dick (Linda) Miller of Alexis, two sisters-in-law, Linda Miller of Alexis and Linda Beal of Milton, FL, along with nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, two brothers, Howard and Earl Miller.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis with Pastor David Dutton of Little Cedar Presbyterian church, Little York.. Burial will be in Alexis Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 P.M. Friday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Alexis where his family will be present from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Memorials may be left to be designated later.
