Patricia Louise Dallefeld, 94, of Toulon, formerly of Avon, IL, passed away at 3:46 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2025 in her home, surrounded by her family. She was born May 3, 1931 near Rich Hill, MO, the daughter of Denver Wallace and Willa Pearl (Weddle) Tourtillott. She spent her early childhood in Missouri and moved to the Ellisville/Canton, IL, area in 1944. While in high school in Ellisville, she met her future husband. She returned to Missouri in 1948, graduating from Hume High School in 1949.
Patricia married Elden E. Dallefeld on September 14, 1949 in Canton; he preceded her in death on July 27, 2014. Together they raised three children, farmed and raised livestock for nearly fifty years, and owned The Olde Music Shoppe in Macomb for twelve years. They lived many of their years together in the Avon area and later moved to Seminary Estates in Galesburg.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son Steve (Pam) Dallefeld of Good Hope; daughter Angie (Jim) Roark of Toulon; son-in-law Chuck McElvaine of Avon; seven grandchildren: Andy McElvaine of Niceville, FL, Michelle (Rob) McElvaine of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Brandon Dallefeld of Good Hope, Stephanie (David) Coupland of Macomb, Brad Dallefeld of Colchester, Matthew Roark of Eureka, and Christopher (Rey) Roark of Manteno; and one brother, Jewell Tourtillott of Rich Hill, MO. She was also beloved by her 13 great grandchildren, with a 14th on the way, and by many nieces and nephews, who lovingly knew her as “Aunt Patty”.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter, Sharon McElvaine.
Patricia was a homemaker and dedicated wife. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking, playing scrabble and gardening. Her greatest joy was her family, with whom she shared her strong faith. She was a member of many sewing clubs and of the Prairie City Methodist Church for many years.
Patricia was warm-hearted and generous; she believed that the best way to boost one’s mood was to help someone in need. Even after losing her eyesight in the last five years of her life, she sought to be a blessing to others by faithfully praying for them.
