Michael Mcgee

Michael McGee, 66, of Macomb, IL passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at McDonough District Hospital Macomb, IL.  He was born Saturday, November 24, 1951 in Galesburg, IL the son of Ray A. and Betty J. (Higbee) McGee.  He married Perla Guzman on November 2, 1979.

He is survived by his wife of Macomb, IL; his two sons Captain of the Marine Corp Martin Thomas McGee of Charlotte NC, Captain of the Army National Guard Patrick Henry McGee of Macomb, IL; his daughter Kristina Marie McGee of Macomb, IL who he passed on his love of animals to; his two sisters Patricia Williams of Avon, IL and Penny (Brian) Stewart of Chesterfield, VA and his brother Martin McGee of Galesburg, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother-in-law (Charles Williams).

Mike graduated Avon High School.  He served in the US Army.  He worked at the Tennessee Foundry in Tennessee, IL and then worked at Yetters Manufacturing for almost 40 years in Colchester, IL.  He was a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow.  He enjoyed to fish with his brother.  He enjoyed and loved all his nieces and nephews.  He also enjoyed geode hunting and his video games.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018, 7:00 p.m. at the Wise Family Funeral Home Avon, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the Wise Family Funeral Home Avon, IL.  Cremation rites will be accorded after the service burial will be at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the Michael McGee Memorial Fund.  Please sign the online guestbook at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com.  Wise Family Funeral Home Avon, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
