Mary Hanna Bratton, 94, of Monmouth, formerly of Little York, IL. died at 5:22 P.M. Sunday, May 6, 2012 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth.

She was born Nov. 9, 1917 in Seaton, IL. the daughter of John and Nellie (Flatley) Haben. She was raised and educated in Little York and graduated from Monmouth High School.

Mary married John Barrington in 1940 in Little York and he died in 1948. She later married George Bratton in Norwood on March 25, 1953 and he died Aug. 26, 1976.

Mary owned and operated Mary's Beauty Shop in Little York for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching television.

She was a member of the Little York Methodist Church.

Survivors include her 2 sons, Bill (Sue) Barrington of Little York, Jerry (Thelma) Barrington of Springfield, IL; 2 daughters, Jane (Tom) Brackemeyer of Sterling, IL and Mary (Bill) Ischer of Monmouth; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husbands and one brother, John Haben.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth with Rev. Agnes Brady of the Norwood Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Little York Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth where her family will be present one hour prior to the services.
