Marion R. Aldridge, 71, of Forreston, Illinois, died at 9:05 A.M. Friday, July 11, 2014, at his home. He was born June 25, 1943 in Brilliant, Alabama, the son of Rannel Lee and Velma Evelyn (Burleson) Aldridge. He was reared and educated in Pea Ridge, AL. Marion married Rita Huss in Rockford, Illinois on June 22, 1963 and she survives. Marion was a bolt maker and Header Operator for Rockford Product. He loved all animals especially his pugs, Tiger and Moo Sho and his quail, Pretty Girl. He enjoyed raising gamebirds with his son, Shawne. He loved gardening along with canning and freezing the fresh food from his garden. Surviving are his wife, Rita Aldridge of Forreston, Il; three sons, Shayne (Martha) Aldridge of Pekin, IL, Randall (Kim) Aldridge of Villa Park, IL and Shawne (Katrina) Aldridge of Forreston, IL; 6 grandchildren, Samantha Aldridge of Leaf River, IL, Alexandra Aldridge of Villa Park, IL, Kevin Aldridge of Pekin, IL, Randall Aldridge, II of Villa Park, IL, Madison Aldridge of Forreston, IL and Owen Aldridge of Pekin, IL. He was preceded in death by is parents, twin sister, Mary Ann ; another sister, Evelyn, one brother, Dennis Aldridge and one half brother, Jerry Perry. Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 14, 2014 in Oquawka Cemetery with Rev. James Epperson officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to departing for the graveside services at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel, Monmouth. Online condolences may be left at hooverhall.com.
