Lisle P. Dakin 71 of Roseville died Friday November 9, 2018 at Great River Medical Center in Burlington IA. He was born Saturday December 21, 1946 the son of Charles Russell and Virginia Eileen Miller Dakin. He married Betty Jo Walters June 30, 1979.
He is Survived by his wife Betty Jo Dakin of Roseville, Sons Jason (Jackie) Overstreet and Justin (Heather) Overstreet Grandchildren Sydney, Brady, Madison, Blake, Boston. One Brother Gene (Martha) Dakin of Monmouth. Nieces and nephews Kathy (Brandon) Bentz, Sarah (Matthew) Hansen, J.R.(Aly) Dakin and Jawni Sue Dakin.
He was preceded in death by his parent and one brother John.
Lisle served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969 serving as a Drill Instructor. He farmed his entire life. He was an Avid Pool player and loved to play cards. Lisle was never without a joke or story to tell. He was also a member of the Roseville American Legion.
Funeral Service will be Thursday November 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wise Family Funeral Home in Roseville with the Rev. James Oliver officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening November 14, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Roseville Fire Department and or the Roseville Ambulance Service. Burial will be in Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded. Online condolences may be made at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com.
