Larry E. Estes, 77, of Stronghurst, IL passed away Tuesday August 8, 2017, at his home. He was born Friday February 9, 1940 in Smithshire, IL the son of Dwight M. and Sarah (Rosenbaum) Estes. He married Marilyn Thomas on June 23, 1961.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Marilyn of Stronghurst, IL; children Larry (Angel) Estes of Jefferson, GA, and Tony (Jamie)Estes of Davenport, IA; 10 grandchildren Andrew, Geneva, Alyssa (Colby), Cody (Daisy), Alexis, Bryan, Larry, Amber, Sarah, and Preston; 2 great grandchildren Chyan, and Hailee; one brother Dick (Carol) Estes of CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister.
He has drove a truck all of his life. He enjoyed fishing. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday August 13, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Liberty Hall Smithshire, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded and burial will be at a later date.
