John "Bud" Kendall

John “Bud” Kendall 79, of St. Augustine passed away April 10, 2021 at 7:55 p.m. at his home.  He was born May 27, 1941 in Peoria, Il the son of Delbert Lavern and Almeda Meta (Casteel) Kendall.  He married Vergie Cooper in 1985.  She preceded him December 31, 2013.

He is survived by his children Roxanna (Ross) Ford of Avon, Christina Kendall of Peoria Heights, Il, Kimberly (Steve) Peterson of Shepardsville, KY, Randall Nick (Chrissy) Brown of Memphis, IN ,siblings, Jenny Wileman of Peoria, Delbert Kendall of Eldridge MO, Joyce McCarroll of Belleview IL, 9 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Wife, and 2 Sisters: Janet Hyde and Phyllis Monson.

Bud had served in the U.S. Army During Vietnam, where later he then worked and retired from Caterpillar. He was also a lifetime member of AM Vets. Along with being a member of the Abington American Legion Post. He always had a love for his family, friends, and music throughout life.

Visitation will be held Saturday April 17, 2021 at Wise Family Funeral Home in Avon, from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M.  A celebration of life will be held immediately at the Abington American Legion.
