John M. Carlson

John M. Carlson, 94, passed away Thursday March 1, 2018, 8:45 a.m. at Marigold Rehab and Healthcare Center Galesburg, IL.  He was born Friday March 2, 1923 in Alexis, IL, the son of Harry and Evelyn (Nelson) Carlson.  He married Charlotte Cozadd, she preceded him in 2012.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Stanley (Diane) of Alexis, IL, and Stephanie Nagel of Rensselaer, IN; step children Dennis Cozadd, and Dorothy Weathers; grandchildren William Q. (Linda) Carlson of Cary, IL, John Robert (Deanna) Carlson of Moline, IL, Matthew (Sheri) Carlson of Hillside, IL, Kimberly (Dennis) Boccardi of Quincy, IL, Eric (Linnea) Nagel of WI, and Janell (Rich) Haldeman; sister Helen Sims of North Henderson, IL; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife (Charlotte Carlson), son (William Carlson), grandchildren (Brian and Amy Carlson) and sister (Janet Anderson).

John farmed his entire life.  He had a love for restoring antique tractors it was a great hobby.

Graveside service will be Tuesday March 6, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at the Alexis Cemetery Alexis, IL.  Visitation will be Tuesday Mach 6, 2018, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the Wise Family Hoover Hall Funeral Home Alexis, IL.  Memorials may be made to the Alexis Cemetery Association Galesburg, IL.  Please sign the online guestbook at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com.  Wise Family Hoover Hall Funeral Home Alexis is in charge of the arrangements.
