Joan E. Sprout, 77, of Monmouth, IL, passed away Monday July 13, 2015, 8:40 pm at Sugar Creek Alzheimer Care Center Bloomington, IL. She was born February 2, 1938 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Ezra R. and Louise E. Miller. She married Ronald E. Sprout in Monmouth, IL on March 15, 1959.
She is survived by her children Tari (Scott) Evans, Jeff (Julie) Sprout, Marla (Chris) Wood; and her grandchildren Quinton Evans, Caresa Evans, Derek Sprout, Michael Wood and Noah Wood. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother, and husband.
She had a green thumb and worked in her lawn and flower gardens all season long. She also enjoyed sewing and making appliqued' sweatshirts. Joan loved to have her family and friends with her. She also helped with many of the Monmouth High School Class of 56 reunions. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Funeral service will be Saturday July 18, 2015, 11:00 am at the Wise Family - Hoover Hall Funeral Home Monmouth, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior. Burial will be in the Monmouth Cemetery Monmouth, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sugar Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center.
