Joan Miller, 85, of Alexis died 12:06 A.M. Thursday, November 07, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center of Galesburg.
She was born April 1, 1928 in Warren County, Illinois the daughter of John and Marian (Harben) McCutchan. She was raised and educated in Little York and graduated from Little York High School in 1946.
Joan married Harold Miller in Monmouth on April 4, 1948, and he preceded her in death on August 15, 1994.
Joan was a homemaker and a certified nurse's aid. She provided home health care.
She was a member of the Village Baptist Church of Alexis and a former member of the Little Cedar Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Linda (Stanley) Shannon of Alexis and one son, Jeffrey Miller of Alexis, 6 grandchildren, Brandy Miller, Michael C. Miller, Ryan Miller, Carrie Miller, Shane Shannon and Garrett Miller and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, Michael R. Miller
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Village Baptist Church in Alexis with Rev. Terry Johnston. Burial will be in Alexis Cemetery.
