Jim L. Johnson

Jim L. Johnson, 72, of Avon, IL passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at his home.  He was born Friday, October 4, 1946 in Berwick, IL the son of Lessie and Maudie (Postin) Johnson.  He married Sue Eileen Winchel on December 12, 1967 in Oquawka, IL; she preceded him in death on January 23, 2007.

Jim is survived by three children, Laura (Ken) Drayton of Wynona, IL, Jamie (David) Boatman of Avon, IL, and Wendy (Preston) White of Stronghurst, IL; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; siblings Ronny Johnson, Florence Johnson, Lloyd Johnson, Maudie Riley, Wayne Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother and sisters.

Jim loved to hunt, fish, camp, and go mushroom hunting.  He would do anything for anybody.

Graveside service will be Friday, January 18, 2019, 11:00 a.m. in the Greenbush Cemetery, Greenbush, IL.  Memorials may be made to the Jim L.
