Jane (Corman) Young, 87, of Roseville, Illinois, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at the Bickford Assisted Living of Macomb, Illinois. She was born May 9, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Victor Rudolph and Margaret Catherine (Miller) Corman. She was raised and educated in the Rushville and Roseville School Districts, graduating from Roseville High School in 1957. She attended the University of Illinois and later Monmouth College where she received her Bachelor of English Education in 1977.

She married Gordon Young on July 25, 1981, and he preceded her in death on February 17, 2026.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons; Don (Linda) Farr of Roseville, Curt (Christine) Farr of Macomb and Chuck Farr of Roseville; grandchildren, Sarah (Aaron) Edwards, Andrea (Mike) Cokel, Rachel Farr, Chloe Farr and Adam Farr and 5 great-grandchildren. Two nieces and one nephew also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Victor Corman and one great-grandchild, James Michael Cokel.

Jane worked for the Monmouth School District as a 4th grade teacher at Willits and Lincoln Elementary until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the Monmouth-Roseville education foundation for many years. She was a 70 year member of the Roseville Chapter N P.E.O. and a longtime member of the Roseville Christian Church. She was also a member of the Roseville Women’s Club and the Retired Teacher’s Association. She enjoyed her weekly breakfast with the retired Willits School teachers. She loved to garden, especially flowers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the Roseville Christian Church. Friends may call at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Roseville Christian Church, The Monmouth-Roseville Education Foundation, or the Chapter N P.E.O. Scholarship. Interment will be in the Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery. Moore Memorial Home, Roseville, is handling the arrangements.
