James (Jim) E. Martin

James (Jim) E. Martin 84 of Monmouth passed away August 17th 2021 at 3:47 am at Legacy Estates. He was born July 9th 1937 the son of Eugene Edward and Nellie Gertrude (Staat) Martin. He married Sarah Joan on September 3rd 1955.

He is survived by his wife Sarah, children; Stephen Bradley (Linda) Martin, and Jay Edward Martin, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one brother Bill Martin.

He is Preceded in Death by his parents, one son Charles Martin, and one brother Robert Martin

In his life he was a farmer at heart. Jim never met a stranger or someone he didn’t like. He loved people and enjoyed to socialize. He cared deeply for his family. Jim worked on a sign crew for the state of Illinois. He also operated at CNC machine manufacturer.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday August 23rd 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Roseville Community Center. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross.
