Genevieve Z Anderson

Genevieve Z. (Eack) Anderson, 92, of Roseville, Illinois, passed away at 7:25 p.m., Monday, June 30, 2025, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, Illinois. She was born October 15, 1932, in Monmouth, Illinois, the daughter of Vernon and Myrtle Eack. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School.

She married Benny Anderson on June 23, 1955, and he preceded her in death on August 12, 2022.

Those left to cherish her memory are; daughter, Lori Anderson of Monmouth; son, Dale (Kim) Anderson of Roseville; granddaughter, Shaniah (Josh) Anderson of Muscatine, Iowa; and one sister, Georgia Cole of Roseville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benny Anderson; one brother, Dean Eack.

Genny was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, she enjoyed playing bridge and doing puzzles. She and Benny liked to square dance together. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She also collected thimbles. She was a homemaker and also had a booth at the antique store in Roseville where she sold antiques and collectibles. Genny was a friend to all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Private family funeral services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Point Pleasant Cemetery, Point Pleasant Township, Illinois. Moore Memorial Home, Roseville, is handling the arrangements.
