Frank Wade Hinman

November 20, 1928 — April 26, 2019

Frank Wade Hinman, 90, of Macomb, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Macomb, on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 10:10 a.m.  He was born at home south of Bardolph, IL on Tuesday, November 20, 1928 the son of Ross Wade and Rose (Thorman) Hinman.  He married Barbara Brooks on December 18, 1954.

Wade is survived by his wife Barbara of 64 years; his children, Julie (Steve) Carlson of Knoxville, Brian (Ruth) Hinman of Macomb, Alan (Lisa) Hinman of Macomb, and Dan (Melinda) Hinman of Macomb; grandchildren, Mary (Joel) Foulk, Scott (Kristyn) Hinman, Brooke Hinman, Dylan Hinman, Karen (Michael) Huls, Katie Hinman; one great granddaughter Liberty Rose Huls; sisters Margaret Lewis, and Rita Foley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister (Lois Cox), 3 brothers-in-law’s (Henry Cox, Robert Foley, and Bernard Lewis).

Wade was raised around the Bardolph area.  He graduated from Bardolph High School. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and trapping, he also enjoyed playing pool at the Bardolph and Adair pool halls.  He served in the US Army as a Tank Mechanic stationed in Japan.  He was a lifelong resident of McDonough County.  He farmed his entire life never retiring.  Wade enjoyed running his John Deere equipment, especially running his combine during harvest. He also raised White Park cattle and was a grain farmer. In his later years he enjoyed attending farm auctions.  He loved traveling around the farm supervising on his ATV.

Cremation rites have been accorded and private burial will be at a later date.  A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the VFW, 1200 E. Jefferson St. Macomb, IL 61455.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jerusalem United Methodist Church and or St. Jude.  Please sign the online guestbook at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com.  Wise Family Funeral Home Roseville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
