Erik S Oyler

Erik S Oyler, 40, of St. Augustine, Illinois, passed away at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg. He was born January 25, 1985, in Galesburg, the son of Carl and Victoria (Stick) Oyler. He was raised and educated in St. Augustine and attended Avon Schools.

Surviving family includes his children; Branson, Bradley, and Brenna Oyler (and expecting his first grandson); mother, Vicky Oyler; siblings, Jeremy, Bryan and Jessica; grandparents, Clarence and Christine Oyler. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Oyler; aunts, Laura Holman and Rhonda Ambrosius and maternal grandparents.

Erik worked as a diesel mechanic for Stull trucking for several years. He enjoyed fishing and tinkering in the garage.

Cremation rites have been accorded with no services planned at this time. Memorial Contributions may be made to the wishes of the family and left in the care of the funeral home.
