Duane J. Humes, 66, of Little York, IL passed away Thursday June 2, 2016, at his home. He was born January 17, 1950 in LaHarpe, IL the son of Herbert J. and Edith L. (Kirchner) Humes.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Rosemary; children Duane (Melissa) Humes of Dixon, IL and Roger (Jolene) Humes of Keithsburg, IL; 3 granddaughters Kami, Chadee, Daniella; siblings Irvin (Louise) Humes, Ruby (Richard) Dempsey, Richard (Cindy) Humes, Jane (Thomas) Van Winkle and Loren Humes. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
He loved to garden, and to can fruits and vegitables. He enjoyed to work on vehichles. He had a wit to be able to figure anything out and a wealth of knowledge.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday evening June 7, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Wise Family - Hoover Hall Funeral Home Monmouth, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded after the visitation.
