Doris A. (Skinner) Clampitt

Doris A. Clampitt, 93, of Abingdon, IL passed away Friday, October 2, 2020, at the Roseville Rehab and Nursing Home.  She was born Friday, March 25, 1927 in Galesburg, IL the daughter of John W. and Matilda (Smith) Skinner.  She married Alex Paul Clampitt II on December 21, 1987; he preceded her in death on November 8, 1991.

Doris is survived by two stepsons Rhett Clampitt and Alex Paul Clampitt III; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

Doris Worked at Briggs Manufacturing for 35 years in Abingdon, IL.  She was a great dog lover having several German shepherds.  She was also an avid doll collector.

Graveside service will be Thursday, October 8, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at the Abingdon Cemetery, Abingdon, IL. There will be no visitation.  Memorials may be made to the Roseville Rehab and Nursing Home.  Please sign the online guestbook at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com.  Wise Family Funeral Home Roseville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
