Denver Lawrence Crandall, 75, of Avon, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at home.


He was born Wednesday, February 25, 1948, in Macomb, Illinois.  He was the son of Denver Lawrence Crandall, Sr., and Ruth Mildred (Majors) Crandall.  He married Linda Evelyn Loss on November 22, 1969, in Wood Dale, Illinois.  They were married for 48 years until her death on June 27, 2018.

Denver was raised in Colchester, Illinois.  He served in the Marines and Navy.  He met his wife Linda while she attended school at Western Illinois University.  They raised their four children in Avon, Illinois.  Denver spent almost 40 years in telecommunication as a lineman and technician.  He served as a minister for over 40 years preaching throughout the United States and overseas in England, India, Nepal, and Africa.

Denver is survived by his two daughters, Christina Crandall of Peotone, Illinois and Deborah Brown of Riverton, Illinois; one son, Jacob Crandall of Glenpool, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Joshua, Evelyn, Ruth, and Caleb Brown & Elijah and Annabelle Crandall; and one sibling, Diana (Crandall) Creasey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda Evelyn (Loss) Crandall and one son, Denver Lawrence Joshua Crandall.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 25, 2024 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Avon Cemetery. Moore Memorial Home, Avon, is handling the arrangements.
