Delores May Kinney

Delores May (Burnett) Kinney, 89, of Avon, Illinois, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 18, 1936, in Peoria, Illinois the daughter of Richard and Beulah (Murphy) Burnett.

Delores married Bernard Kinney in 1972, and he preceded her in death on February 1, 2024.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Candy (Jamie) Heady of Morton, Illinois, George Wicks of Avon, Illinois, grandchildren, Aaron (Chelsy Murphy) Kramer of Champaign, IL, Marissa Heady of Pekin, Presley Stoneking of Macomb, IL and Little George, Crystal, Josh and Jason; Kylee Heady and Ryland Cagle; great-grandchildren, Addy, Xavier, Blakely, Mckinley and Maverick; siblings, Barb Johnson of Pennsylvania, Debbie (Jim) Dildine of Ellisville, Illinois, Ronnie (Char) Burnett of Peoria, Illinois. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Billy; siblings, Richard Allen, Bob Michael, Steven, Dixie, Patty and Danny and one grandson, Brandon Lee.

Delores worked as a presser at Beils Cleaners for many years and a part-time bartender. She loved to play BINGO and gamble at the casino. She enjoyed playing Chinese Checkers and Aggravation with her family.

Cremation rites have been accorded with a Celebration of Delores’ Life to be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family and left in the care of the funeral home. Moore Memorial Home, Avon, is handling the arrangements.
