Cora Franklin, 93 of Galesburg, IL passed away Tuesday November 14, 2017, 9:25 p.m. at the Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center Galesburg, IL. She was born Tuesday March 11, 1924 in Avon, IL the daughter of Charlie and Twylia (Shafer) Serven.
Those left to cherish her memory are her five sisters Opal Cozadd, Marge Douglas of Galesburg, IL, Linda Johnson of Knoxville, IL, Jean (Eugene) Norris of Chestnut, IL and Leta (Jim) Fell of Monmouth, IL; 2 granddaughters Virginia Sloan and Rosemary Sloan both of Kissimmee, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter (Patricia Sloan), infant son (Dale Eugene Franklin), 3 sisters (Bertha McCormick, Stella Whitacre, Climeta Bryant) and a special friend (Pete Strong).
Funeral service will be Monday November 20, 2017 2:00 p.m. with a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the Wise Family – Hoover Hall Funeral Home in Monmouth, IL. Burial will be in the Avon Cemetery Avon, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Jude and or the Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center Galesburg, IL.
