Beverly Salyers

Beverly Salyers, 81, of Biggsville, formerly of Roseville, passed away at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Allure of Lake Storey in Galesburg. She was born June 14, 1942, in Biggsville, the daughter of Seth and Catherine(MaGee) Oaks. She was raised and educated in Biggsville and graduated from Biggsville High School.

She married Ralph Salyers in 1961 and he preceded her in death.

Surviving Beverly is her grandson, Jordan Salyers of Roseville, IL; great-granddaughters, Olivia and Katiana Salyers; Cousin, Phyllis Johnson; nieces, Crystal (Brian) Vanskike and Angela Oaks, sister-in-law, Betty Oaks. Several other nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Shelly Thurman; brother, Charles Wayne Oaks; one nephew, Billy Oaks and her beloved dog Shadow.

Beverly drove a school bus for the Union School District for many years. She was a member of the Roseville Christian Church and an avid yardsale and thrift store shopper.

Cremation rites have been accorded with no services planned at this time. Moore Memorial Home, Roseville, is handling the arrangements.
