Abraham J. Berg, 73, of rural Little York, IL died at 3:03 A.M. Friday, February 17, 2012, at his home.
He was born March 27, 1938 in Osceola, WI. the son of Leo and Olivene (Bailargeon) Berg. He was raised and educated in Osceola and attended Osceola high School.
Abraham served with the United States Navy from 1956-1960.
Abraham married Lois A. Morgan in Oneida, IL on Dec. 8, 1967 and she survives.
He worked in construction and farmed as a hobby.
He was of Catholic Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Berg; 3 sons, Michael (Sheri) Berg of Williamsfield, IL, Paul (Ronita) Berg of Biggsville,, IL, Mark (Amy)Berg of Peoria; 5 grandchildren, Nicole Berg, Ryan Berg, Dylan Berg, Abigail Berg and Dwight Berg; 1 great grandson, Timothy J. J. Bresnahan; 4 step grandchildren, Kevin Wardrip, Joshua Wardrip, Ronesha Wardrip and Levi Wardrip; 1 step great grandson, Cayden Wardrip; 2 brothers, Elroy (Joann) Berg of MN. and Gilbert (Janice) Berg of WI.; 2 sisters, Gloria Lord of WI. and Joan (Richard) Jahkne of MN; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, John D. Berg and Ronald Berg; 2 sisters, Marlene Sellner and Laurice Blood.
Cremation has been accorded with memorial services to be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the services.
